Brass Cage
Timken® Spherical Roller Bearings with brass cages provide extra strength and durability in the most unrelenting conditions, including extreme shock and vibration, high acceleration forces and minimal lubrication.
Timken’s ball bearings for aerospace applications are specifically designed to withstand radial, thrust, moment, reversible thrust or combination loads. Our offering includes two Conrad configurations (types HK and HD) and two angular contact configurations (types HA and HT). Bearings may be supplied as single units or in preloaded sets.

HK series is designed to handle heavy loads and has high-strength Conrad separator options that can manage severe loads and speeds.
HD series features an innovative fractured outer ring design that allows for maximum ball complement in a radial deep-groove bearing. This provides significant improvements in dynamic load capacity and predicted service life.
HA series has a non-separable design with counter-bored outer rings and one-piece, high strength separators. Ideal for preloaded and/or thrust-type applications.
Options include deep-groove outer and relieved inner races for ultra-high-speed applications.
HT series is a high-performance line featuring full deep-groove outer rings, one-piece, high strength separators and two extra-deep-groove inner ring halves. Ideal for use on high-speed shafts with reversing thrust loads.

Timken’s spherical plain bearings (SPBs), or bushings, are metal-on-metal bearings consisting of a spherically ground inner ring housed in a mating outer ring without any rolling elements. While all plain bearings are precision ground and made from through-hardened steel, custom orders are available and can include special materials, clearances, surface finishes or configurations to accommodate unique applications.

Timken® Corrosion-Resistant Poly-Round® Housed Units
The Timken® ADAPT™ bearing combines the traditional cylindrical roller bearing and spherical roller bearing configurations. Its proprietary outer race and roller profiles plus a cylindrical inner ring combine the key attributes of both bearing types. This unique three-point contact design geometry provides simultaneous misalignment and axial displacement performance, optimizes contact stress distribution, and helps promote roller stability. The result is a more dynamic, more reliable bearing.

Easier Installation
The ADAPT bearing consists of an inner ring, outer ring, and roller/retainer assembly. The separable components simplify installation, removal, and inspection. The retainer holds the rollers in position, creating a single assembly that prevents the rollers from being damaged during mounting and dismounting. The inner ring and outer ring can be installed in either direction, helping to avoid common mounting errors. No special tooling is required.

Timken SAF pillow blocks combine rugged cast-iron or cast-steel housings with high capacity spherical roller bearings to meet the toughest demands of heavy industry. The convenient split-housing design simplifies assembly and service. Each pillow block contains an advanced-design spherical roller bearing with improved geometry and raceway finish for maximum load capacity and service life. Timken manufactures pillow blocks in two main styles: SAF and SDAF. The larger SDAF block is suggested for extreme heavy duty applications.
Size range: 1.37795 in. to 11.811 in., with special shaft sizes available up to 39.37 in. and beyond.
